Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education (Trabzon MEM) is a state department in charge with the planning and coordination of all kinds of educational and training activities in pre-school, primary, general and vocational secondary and adult education in Trabzon. The institution includes many departments such as; training teachers and in service training, adult education, Culture, health, research and development, projects, special education and guidance, and sports departments. In addition, it provides, together with ministry of education and mayor, financial support and investment for the above mentioned instritutions and departments.
Our directorate has nearly 250.000 students between the ages 3-19 (kindergarten-pre_primary-secondary-high schools-vocational high schools-technical high schools and a teacher training high school,adult trainig centers), 11.000 teachers and 2000 assistant teaching staff.
