Lifelong Learning National Days
During the Fifth International Conference on Adult Education, the UNESCO encouraged participant institutions and organizations to set up whatever activities were necessary to disseminate lifelong learning. In Spain, FAEA organises since 2003 and in collaboration with FEUP and UNED, the Lifelong Learning Festivals, whose objective is to celebrate, disseminate and acknowledge the importance of learning and lifelong learning as a tool to reinforce social cohesion, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, gender equality and self-realization, following the guidelines set by the EU.
On the occasion of these Festivals, FAEA organises annually a Lifelong Learning National Day. This Day’s objective is to disseminate lifelong learning and to acknowledge the work of persons and institutions that participate in the various plans, programmes and projects within Lifelong Learning.
